About Link

Letter carrier speaks to a Link writer.
Washington, DC, Letter Carrier Michael Bryant speaks to a Link writer.

Link, a daily news site for Postal Service employees, is available on any computer with internet access.

The content is produced by a team of writers and editors based at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC. Additional contributions come from postal employees across the nation.

The site is updated with new articles, photos, graphics and videos each weekday.

Regular features include “Best Practices,” in which employees share workplace tips for their peers; “On the Job,” which profiles individual employees and their contributions to the Postal Service; “Heroes’ Corner,” daily stories about employees who perform heroic deeds; and “The List,” a weekly roundup of interesting facts about USPS.

Employees with postal email addresses receive a Link email each weekday with links to the most recent stories. The team also produces an end-of-week Link Recap email with stories readers might have missed, along with Link Extra emails for breaking news.

About Link mobile

Link mobile is a mobile-friendly version of the Link site. Link mobile has all the news you’ll find on the desktop version of Link, except it’s formatted for easy reading on handheld smart devices. All USPS employees can receive a weekly email with links to select stories.

Add Link mobile to your device

You can pin the Link mobile site to your device’s home screen. The instructions vary depending on the type of device you use.

• Apple. If you have an iPhone or an iPad, launch the Safari browser and go to link.usps.com. Tap the share icon, which looks like an arrow coming out of a square. This icon appears at the bottom of iPhone screens and the top of iPad screens. Next, tap the “Add to Home Screen” icon. You’ll be prompted to name the shortcut (the default is “USPS news”), and then you can click “Add.” A Link mobile icon will now appear on your home screen. When you click the icon, the site will open in Safari.

• Android. If you have an Android device, launch the Chrome for Android browser and go to link.usps.com. Tap the menu button and select “Add to homescreen.” You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut, and then it will be added to your home screen.

• Other. The site How-To Geek has instructions for creating shortcuts for other devices, including Windows Phone.
